Making a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities for over 50 years.

Why Give?

Over the years, the programs and services at Waban have expanded and grown to meet the ongoing and ever changing needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities. The thousands of individuals who have benefited from these services and have gone on to have high quality and fulfilling lives, could not have done so without the tremendous level of support that we have received from generous individuals, businesses, and community members, and for that we are very grateful.

Make a Difference

Through the generous support of donors and volunteers, Waban is able to provide services to more than 4,000 people every year, supporting tens of thousands in our more than 50-year history. There are many ways you can help support our work at Waban. You can volunteer, take advantage of our programs, purchase Waban Wear merchandise, or consider one of our social enterprises for your business needs. We’re always grateful to receive donations and contributions from individuals and businesses. Such gifts include cash donations, gifts of stocks and appreciated securities, planned gifts, bequests, corporate sponsorship, and in-kind donations of goods, real-estate, or services. Telethon

Waban played a key role in turning my son’s life around.

“When our Jackson first started at Waban he made minimal to no eye contact, he would not respond to his name, wouldn’t dream of wearing a backpack, and was making no attempt at mimicking words. Jackson now enjoys spelling his name with blocks and playing with numbers. He will try very hard to mimic sounds and has started to make his needs known with a special communication device. To say we will miss Waban is an understatement, but the skills we are taking away from our time here will never be measured. You increased my son’s quality of life in just a few years and for a mother there is no greater gift you could give me than that.”

Annual Telethon approaching!

In 2017, with the help of numerous individuals, organizations, staff and volunteers, Waban raised $87,000 to help make a difference in the lives of kids and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Our annual Telethon is one of the most important ways we connect with our community, promote the important, meaningful work we do, and raise funds to support that work.

Enables a child to say “I love you” for the first time.

Surrounds kids with a nurturing place to learn and grow.

Embraces children’s individuality and focuses on their strengths.

Empowers the dream of what is possible for every child.

Join us to spread help, hope, and support.
